Chocolate chip cookie cups are a cute serving idea to make snack time more fun! Kids (and adults) absolutely love these – what can be more fun than eating up your plate when you’ve finished your snack?

Chocolate Chip Cookie Cups

Is there a person on Earth that doesn’t like chocolate chip cookies? I personally haven’t met one yet. These cute cookie cups are perfect vessels for fresh fruit and berries or ice cream (with some sprinkles of course) and they are of course supremely delicious.

We always have chocolate chip cookie dough in the freezer for a quick treat. And this trick works just as well with frozen cookie dough. So you could have these cute edible bowls on the table in 20 minutes! That is a winning trick in my book.

Steal this idea to transform snack time into a coffee shop worthy exiting occasion. You can have your kids build their own snack – everyone has a cookie cup and they can fill them up as they wish. Add a glass of milk or a cup of hot chocolate and snack time success is guaranteed!

Chocolate Chip Cookie Cups Recipe

Ingredients

  • 225g (1 cup) butter, melted
  • 220g (1 cup) brown sugar, packed
  • 220g (1 cup) granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 pack of vanilla sugar / 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 315g (2 1/2 cups) all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 250g (1 1/2 cups) chocolate chips

Instructions

Preheat oven to 190C (375F)

In a mixing bowl or in the stand mixer with a paddle attachment, whisk together the brown sugar, granulated sugar, and melted butter, until everything is well combined and the mixture is light in color.

Add in the eggs and vanilla, mix until smooth.

Add the flour and baking powder, stirring the dough until it forms a smooth dough.

Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.

Scoop balls of cookie dough and place them in a muffin tin.

Bake for 10-12 minutes.

As soon as the cookies come out of the oven, use a small glass to press an indent into the cookies, then let them cool.

Let the cookies set in the muffin tray for about 10 minutes, then turn over onto a wire rack to cool down completely.

Now you can use your cookie cups to serve fresh berries or fruit, chocolate mousse, ice cream with some sprinkles and delight all the kids around you.
