This is a new discovery for me. I had heard of the ginger shot concept but never made any myself. At the time of writing this it is the spring school break here in France and I am determined to not be overwhelmed and overtired for once. I want to be able to have fun with the kids and make lovely memories.
One part of setting myself up for success is to start my mornings right. And this doesn’t only work for a mom trying to be on top of my game for the duration of the school break. It works for everyone, mom, kid, teenager, farmer, teacher, sportsman, you name it… Everything comes out better if your body is taken care of.
And this is where these exceptional ginger shots enter in the equation. I can sincerely attest that just one shot-glass of this magic potion will wake you up and give you a wonderful boost. Just try it yourself!

Ginger Shots Recipe
(makes about 2 shots)
Ingredients
- 1 apple
- 2 limes
- A 2 inch piece of ginger
- A big pinch of Cayenne pepper
Instructions
Blend everything together. Strain through a fine mesh sieve. Serve in a shot-glass.
You can make a week’s portions in one go and store it in a airtight glass bottle.
