Breakfast time made easy with these five delicious and healthy smoothie recipes your kids will adore! A quick and healthy breakfast that keeps kids full and energized for hours.
Mornings can be quite hectic. We don’t do big breakfasts with hot meals in our family (or in France in general actually). But kids still need to be full until lunchtime because there are no snacks allowed before it!
Enter the best healthy breakfast on Earth: the SMOOTHIE! You can gather so much goodness in one colorful drink. I usually give them a muffin or a slice of bread with chocolate spread or peanut butter to go along the smoothie and you’ve got yourself a balanced meal as a super quick breakfast!
Here are five of the most popular smoothies in our house. Kid-approved and adult-approved😉.
You will notice that they all have either 3 or 4 ingredients! The secret to smoothie success with kids is often the simplicity. When they are already used to drinking smoothies you can experiment with all kinds of superfood add-ins but in the beginning it’s best to stick to the basics.
The instructions for all the smoothies are to dump all of the ingredients in your blender or the jar of your immersion blender. Mix until smooth, pour in a glass and enjoy!
Raspberry-Blueberry Smoothie

The all-time go-to recipe. In the summertime you can make this as “nice cream” if you use frozen raspberries and frozen bananas. The kids will be even bigger fans!
Ingredients:
- Banana
- Frozen raspberries
- Frozen blueberries
- Milk
Pineapple-Coconut Smoothie

Pineapple is sweet but also has a tang that balances out the taste. Almost all kids like the smoothness coconut milk brings to the smoothies.
Ingredients:
- Banana
- Frozen pineapple chunks
- Coconut milk.
Mango-Orange Smoothie

A sweet and lovely tropical morning inside your smoothie glass!
Ingredients:
- Banana
- Frozen mango
- Orange juice (freshly squeezed is best😋)
Blueberry-Avocado Smoothie

This dark velvet smoothie is equally perfect as a dessert – just add less coconut milk or switch it out for coconut cream!
Ingredients:
- Frozen blueberries
- Avocado
- Coconut milk
Raspberry-Pineapple Smoothie

This was my kids favorite for the entire spring and summer! The regular milk makes it more liquid and it has kind of a nostalgic milk shake feel to it.
Ingredients:
- Banana
- Frozen raspberries
- Frozen pineapple chunks
- Milk
TIP! If you wish to easily up the veggie intake, you can add a few florets of frozen cauliflower to all of these without altering the taste😉.
